About us

Our Rotherhithe is a voluntary group of local organisations and enterprises working in partnership with Southwark Council.

Our aim is to “help Rotherhithe flourish”, through signposting information on the wide ranging, but often poorly publicised, activities and facilities the area has to offer.

Regular contributors to the group include Surrey Docks Farm, London Bubble, Time and Talents, and many others.

Our team of active officers are:

  • Richard Kalmar, chair local resident and businessman, he was also a chair of Southwark Chamber of Commerce for 6 years,
  • Elaine Garlick MBDS, our stalwart honorary secretary and local resident.
  • Pauline Adenwalla, who also chairs the local group Albion Street Community Charity.
  • Amanda Squires OBE, FCSP, PhD, MSc founder member 14 years ago.
  • Clare Armstrong, local resident and safer streets campaigner, who leads a local lighting project
  • Michael Daniels, a local resident and is president of Rotherhithe and Bermondsey History Society

We would like to give special thanks to Art Invest, developers of Canada Water Dockside for their sponsorship and to Kanda for all their help in putting it together
